30 Days of Christmas Crafts Day 15: 20 Minute Tea-pot Cozy
The secret to this warm cozy is the 100% wool lining. I comb thrift shops for wool sweaters, wash them in hot water, and dry them on high to shrink the wool. Then, I cut the sleeves off , and use the body for this wonderful tea cozy.
Supplies:
12″ by 24″ flannel
3″ by 24″ coordinating fabric
12″ by 24″ 100% wool from an old sweater
Sewing machine–I used my Skyline S5
Matching Thread
Sew:
Place coordinating fabric strip right sides together on wool.
Sew the long side.

Place Flannel right sides together on coordinating fabric.
Sew the long side
Open out. It should look like this:
Now, fold entire piece in half lengthwise like this:
Straight stitch around all three open sides leaving a hole large enough in the wool lining for turning.
Now, turn fabric right side out so that it looks like this:
Sew opening used for turning closed
Tuck lining inside tea cozy
Finished!
